ASF’s Vox Libera Salon series: Sunday brunch & discussion – Public Health in a Post-Covid World: Do we need the WHO?

Australians for Science and Freedom is proud to host the next exciting event in our acclaimed Vox Libera salon series, starting at 10:30 AM on Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Sydney, at the Leichhardt home of one of ASF’s supporters.  David Bell and Ramesh Thakur will join ASF co-director Jason Strecker for a riveting discussion of public health policy options in the wake of Covid-19 policy failures.

Visiting Australia to speak in Canberra about the recent results of the International Health Reform Panel (available here), Dr David Bell is a Brownstone Institute Senior Scholar with superior insider knowledge about international public health policy-making, having previously worked within the WHO. Professor Ramesh Thakur, ASF Advisor and ANU Emeritus Professor, previously served as Assistant Secretary-General at the United Nations with Kofi Annan. Both have been outspoken for years about their views on Covid-19 countermeasures.

Join these experienced and renowned champions of science and freedom as they discuss the fraught question of how Australia, and the West, should re-think the nature, direction, and management of public health.
